Become a Professional Mentor & part of the learning process at d.tech
Over the course of four years, mentors enable students to experience a variety of educational experiences that broaden their world-view, shape their interests, and provide talking points as they approach postgraduate life. Perhaps the most lasting transferable skill that mentors bestow is self-confidence.

Volunteer your time as a parent to help build the d.tech community
d.tech requests that parents volunteer 30 hours per year, and deeply values the community-building that comes with parent engagement.
Parents help with:
organizing the d.tech fundraising Gala
overseeing the ‘Koi Pond' Annual Fund campaign
chaperoning student events (movie nights, freshmen mixer, grade level field trips)
mentoring student Presentations of Learning (POLs)
driving students to field trips and intersession exploration classes
donating food for events and Staff Appreciation Week
setting up the all-school picnic and neighborhood meet & greets for new families
Robotics
Sports supervision & coaching
hosting X Period Activity -Tuesday/Thursdays (2:25-3:35pm)
lunch supervision
teaching an class or being an internship mentoring during Intersession

Suggest a community project that d.tech students can get involved in
d.tech students learn to be agents of change, and their solution-finding skills become a vehicle to give-back to our local community.
d.tech students have:
prototyped a redesign of the Redwood Shores Library interactive exhibits
made the reception area of Samaritan House warm and inviting for small children
provided design thinking workshops for Redwood Shores students
organized an annual Maker Day in d.tech's Design Realization Garage.
